It’s been a minute since we’ve seen former Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice on the football field. Rice has been trying to restart his NFL career that abruptly ended following the release of hotel footage of Rice knocking out his then fiancée in a casino elevator.
TMZ Sports cameras caught up with the running back and Rice told them that he still has hope of landing with a team for the 2016 season.
“Honestly, I’m never going to give up. You don’t want to give up something you started. You want to finish the right way.”
TMZ claims they have spoken with several NFL sources — who aren’t connected to Ray — that state there’s “real interest” from teams looking to sure up their running back spot for cheap.
In the meantime, Rice says he’s in L.A. to mentor college players for the NFLPA Collegiate Bowl but says he’s making sure to work in some gym sessions in his spare time.
Good luck Ray, unfortunately he’s over the age of 30, and that seems to be a benchmark for running back’s careers in the NFL. Not worth it on all levels.
