College football season is just around the corner. UCLA’s football program was expected to have two sons of hip-hop royalty on the roster this fall. Now it looks as if at least one won’t be in attendance. But it’s not the one you think.

Cordell Brodus, son of Snoop Dogg reportedly has quit the team before the season has even started. According to Scout.com Cordell hasn’t reported to UCLA’s fall camp and hasn’t contacted UCLA since camp started.

According to sources close to the situation, it was more than likely a matter of Broadus “wanting to do his own thing,” since his father had always pushed him to play football.

Meanwhile Justin Combs, the son of Sean “Puffy, PDiddy” Combs is back on the gridiron for the Bruins. The sophomore defensive back had some issues with UCLA strength and conditioning Coach Sal Alosi during the summer program- if you recall, Puff stepped in and ended up getting arrested – but it looks like that’s water under the bridge. Diddy posted “Go Bruins” on Instagram Friday, accompanied with a photo of Justin geared up.
