Saints QB Drew Brees breaks Johnny Unitas 52-year old record

Is it a coincidence that the New Orleans Saints get their first win of the season and Drew Brees sets a new NFL record all on the same night that their suspended had coach Sean Payton is allowed back in the building?

The NFL allowed Payton in the building (but he couldn’t be shown on the big screen) to allow his former QB Drew Brees break the record for consecutive games with a touchdown pass preciously set 52 years ago by Hall of Fame QB, Johnny Unitas.

Brees set the new record with his 48th straight games with a 40-yard touchdown pass to Devery Henderson. The Saints picked up their first win of the season over the San Diego Chargers 34-34.
