- Jalen Ramsey
With the changing NFL, cornerbacks are becoming the most important players on the field. A cornerback that can shut down a player and leave a quarterback looking away from his #1 receiver is invaluable. And that’s what Ramsey does. Ramsey is willing and able to cover an opposing team’s number 1 option in the passing game. This is a rare ability in today’s NFL, where most “shutdown” corners are playing in a zone scheme. Look out Revis Island, Ramsey is coming to claim some territory.
- Laremy Tunsil
Some fans see picking an offensive lineman as a slap in the face. With all the exciting playmakers out there why pick someone who just blocks? Well no fans should be saying that about Tunsil who is a big, strong, mean enforcer that every team needs. Tunsil has shown the ability to block just about any pass rusher you put in front of him. Though picking Tunsil may not be the sexiest pick in the draft, it certainly will have the quarterback breathing a sigh of relief.
There’s no sure thing in any NFL draft. Some of the top players never make a name for themselves, while a sixth round pick wins four Super Bowls and few MVP’s. Though there are hundreds of experts, nobody truly knows. One thing is for certain though, if these players can play half as well as they are expected to play, there will be many future Pro-Bowlers on this list.
