Leonard Fournette is ready for the pros, and he kicked things off by signing with a mega agency. The LSU star running back signed with Roc Nation Sports, a New York representative firm that was started three years ago by Jay Z.
Fournette announced last week that he would not be playing in LSU’s Buffalo Wild Wings Citrus Bowl against Louisville, once again kicking off the debate about stars sitting out bowl games when declaring for the NFL Draft. It’s simple, no major player wants to get hurt and mess up the money. Fournette is projected to be a first-round pick, and all too often we’ve seen stars go down with injuries and drop in the draft. By signing his agency deal, Fournette is not eligible to accompany the team to Orlando for the Dec. 31 game.
Fournette announced the new deal on his Twitter and Instagram accounts.
He joins a roster that includes Kevin Durant, Dez Bryant, Victor Cruz, Todd Gurley, Robinson Cano, CC Sabathia, Andre Ward and more.
