While Coldplay was the headliner Sunday night at Levi Stadium, for the halftime performance at Super Bowl 50, Beyoncé was the focus for many. King B dropped a new song “Formation” on Saturday.
If you were paying close attention to her two-minute slay session that included a dance battle with Bruno Mars, Bey paid homage to Michael Jackson’s 1993 Super Bowl halftime performance with her ensemble.
Her back up dancers gave a nod to the 50-year history of the Black Panthers, performing with afros and berets.
Bey even broke out the “Milly Rock” and almost fell but, Queens don’t trip. Bey caught herself and got right back into step with the dance routine.
