St. Louis Rams Select 1st Openly Gay NFL Player Michael Sam In 7th Round [Video]

Former SEC Defensive Player of the Year, Michael Sam became the first openly gay player drafted into the NFL. With the 249th pick in the seventh round, the St. Louis Rams selected Sam.

The moment Sam received the call, ESPN cameras were rolling at his agent’s home in San Diego, Ca. Sam was emotional and the tears started to fall, his boyfriend was right by his side and the two shared a kiss.

So the cake thing was a bit much – hetrosexual or homosexual before anyone starts down that path.

Congratulations to Michael Sam. Now comes the work!
