Well, you knew the Ravens and the NFL would react swiftly once the blow back hit from the leaked footage of Ravens RB Ray Rice KO’ing his then fiancée in the elevator.
In a move that has little to do with outrage over domestic violence, the Ravens have terminated Ray Rice’s contract and the NFL has put him on indefinite suspension.

Is this the action some wanted the NFL and Ravens to take initially? Possibly, but I subscribe to the theory that it may not have been needed if they would’ve gotten in front of it and at least given him a six to eight game suspension initially. That takes in account his wife asking for reduced punishment.
Of course we know this won’t be the last of this situation.
