NFL Says it had not seen footage of Ray Rice Knocking Janay Palmer Out

The NFL has stated that they had not witnessed the footage between Ray Rice and his now-wife, Janay Palmer-Rice on the elevator, before TMZ released the footage this AM.

A league spokesperson tells us … “We requested from law enforcement any and all information about the incident, including the video from inside the elevator. That video was not made available to us and no one in our office has seen it until today.”

That seems extremely hard to believe. However, benefit of doubt should be extended to them. Having said that, now that they have, will they throw their hands up and stand behind double jeopardy? Or will they do what should’ve been done, in my opinion, just from the “dragging off the elevator footage” initial released and suspend him at least 4 more games?

One thing is certain, it’s a rough day to be on the Ravens or NFL PR staff.
