NFL And Chill: 2016 NFL WildCard Weekend Schedule

Welcome to the 2016 NFL Wild Card weekend. 12 teams  begin the fight to earn their spot in Super Bowl 50 on Feb. 7. I hope you have all your game day snacks ready and a few libations to get you through it. Check out whose on deck this weekend.

 

Saturday, January 9th

AFC Wild Card Game 1: Kansas City Chiefs vs. Houston Texans, 4:35 p.m. EST/ 1:35 PM PST, ESPN

AFC Wild Card Game 2: Pittsburgh Steelers vs. Cincinnati Bengals, 8:15 p.m. EST/ 5:15 PM, CBS

Things got heated between the teams after Steelers running back LeVeon Bell suffered a season ending knee injury during their first matchup this season. The teams met again during week 14. In that game things got a bit heated before kick off, and a total of $147,000 worth of fines were handed out to both teams after everything was said and done. And then there was even some Twitter trash talk.

NFC Wild Card Game 1: Seattle Seahawks vs. Minnesota Vikings, 1:05 p.m. EST/ 10:05 AM PST, NBC

Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch has been ruled out for this game. Will we ever see Marshawn hit the field for the Seahawks again?

Earlier this week, Bleacher Report reported that the league issued a warning to the Steelers and Bengals ahead of the AFC North rivals game. The league has advised against any  “pregame nonsense.”
