Saints linebacker Johathan Vima has reportedly been offered an 8-game reduction from the previous full season suspension. According to ESPN, an offer was made last week to reduce the suspension in exchange for Vilma dropping his civil suit against Commissioner Roger Goodell.
During proceedings, Judge Berrigan didn’t necessarily agree with Goodell’s punishment Seven members of the Saints testified that they had never seen Vilma offer money in exchange for severe hits on Kurt Warner and Brett Farve.
Settlement talks will continue on Monday.
