Dallas Cowboys star running back Ezekiel Elliott is being accused of ‘sexual assault’ by a women’s rights activist after a video circulated of him pulling a woman’s shirt down and exposing her bare breast to a crowd of people.
Zeke was drinking beer next to a group of people while on the roof of a Dallas bar to watch the St. Patrick’s Day Parade on Greenville Ave. In the footage, the woman can be seen making motions towards her breasts while playing to the parade goers. Elliott then reaches over and pulls her shirt down to expose one of her breasts to the people watching below. The woman then scrambles to cover herself up.
A rep spoke with TMZ Sports and says it was all in good fun and that the woman wasn’t upset. They say she actually hung out with Zeke and a group of friends after the parade ended.
In a second video, however, taken moments after the breast exposure, Elliott reaches over a second time and she slaps him away before flashing her cleavage to the crowd below.
The head of a national women’s rights group is calling for the NFL to suspend Elliott, claiming his stunt was “a clear act of sexual assault.” Shaunna Thomas, the co-founder of UltraViolet, an organization dedicated to fighting sexism and expanding women’s rights, says she’s seen the video and is convince Elliott committed a crime.
“The reality is that what happened in the video was sexual assault, period.”
Thomas also calls on Roger Goodell to take immediate disciplinary action to prove the league is serious about protecting women.
