Braylon Edwards says Seahawks rookie QB Russell Wilson will be better than Jets QB Mark Sanchez

Braylon Edwards has made himself quite at home in Seattle. The receiver recently gave statements on the difference between his current QB, Russell Wilson and Jets Mark Sanchez who he played with during the 2010 season.

Seattle Seahawks receiver Braylon Edwards has played with rookie quarterbacks before.  In Cleveland it was Brady Quinn.  In New York it was Mark Sanchez.  And now in Seattle it is Russell Wilson.

When Edwards was asked by Doug Farrar of Yahoo Sports to compare Wilson with Sanchez, he said, “I see better things,” he said. “It’s like I said after the Chiefs game — it’s his approach. It’s very veteran-like. He studies film; he breaks it down. He doesn’t approach it like a rookie, and he’s not looking for excuses. He’s very impressive.”

What else is he supposed to do but compliment his current QB? This is the guy he needs to focus on building chemistry with so he can keep his job? I wonder what Mark Sanchez’s conversations are like with his inner circle right now? The pressure to perform with the expectation that you’ll fail has got to be stressful. But he’s been in New York for three years now, perhaps he’s used to it. But with the glare of Tim Tebow in his rear view mirror, it has to at least feel a tad different.
