March Madness: Players to watch for

With conference tournaments around the NCAA, one thing is certain, March Madness is finally within striking distance. The biggest collegiate sporting event is right around the corner and it’s time to look at some of the key players to watch for. With the NCAA’s best player, Ben Simmons’, out of the tourney, we have to look elsewhere for game changing players. We’re going to look at the 3 players most likely to pull a Kemba Walker and single handedly take over the tournament.

  1. Grayson Allen

A story that we’ve seen many times before, Allen is the Duke villain that March Madness has grown accustomed to. He may not even be the most talented player on his own team, but Allen is a player who will show up in the biggest of moments. If Duke is going to make a run, look to Allen to be an emotional leader, and take the shots when the clock is winding down.

Marcus-Paige

  1. Marcus Paige

With UNC likely to make a deep run, the senior point guard is going to play an important role. As the primary ball handler, the game is going to run through Paige. Because they are recognized as one of the top teams in the country, the stakes are high for Paige. If he can rise to the occasion, there’s no doubt that his name could go down in the history books with the likes of Kemba Walker and Shabazz Napier.

Buddy-Hield

  1. Buddy Hield

With Simmons being left out, that makes Hield the most talented player in the tournament. Hield, a Bahamas native, is going to have to leave it all on the line in his final chance at March Madness. The reason Hield is a must watch is his ability to go off for forty points any given game.

March Madness is the hardest sporting event to predict. There are variables that even experts don’t know. But one thing is sure, there will be guys who show up and guys who let down. These are three guys that are known for the ability showing up in big games and that is not likely to change now that the tournament is here.
