Michael Vick is going to remain the quarterback in Philly for at least one more season. Vick and the Eagles restructured his deal with Vick taking a significant pay cut from the $15.5 million he was scheduled to earn from his three-year deal signed in 2011. Under the new contract, Vick can earn up to $10 million for the 2013 season and be an unrestricted free agent in 2014. Vick will have to compete for his starting job though. Rookie Nick Foles filled in for Vick last season at spots and new head coach Chip Kelly made this abundantly clear at his press conference a few weeks ago.

He also added that an offense with a running qb often needs a second if that QB has been exposed to repeated hits. Gee, whose season doesn’t that sound like it?
