Round 1 of the 2020 NFL Draft took place in all new territory. Covid-19 has changed life as we know it around the world. This was the first virtual draft for the league -the WNBA held a virtual draft last week, making it one of the first to launch into these unchartered waters)
The NFL arranged for a bunch of ways to keep you tuned in and excited about the possibility of an upcoming NFL season. Here is a quick overview of the virtual events and concerts they planned.
By now you have probably seen the selections, Joe Burrows went to the Bengals. But the real jewels, were in the accidental comedy and behind the scenes peeks into the various war rooms. Check out some of my favorite moments from the 2020 draft.
Two of the most discussed moment of the night involved later draft picks. First up, a lesson for all you aspiring WAGS; on Draft night, it’s about him, not you. And in case you forget, his mother is right there to remind you.

29th pick Isaiah Wilson (Titans) of UGA will forever be a meme – his girlfriend Grace Barnett too – after his mom snatched her up off of his lap on live TV.

17th pick Ceedee Lamb’s (Cowboys) girlfriend, Crymson Rose got a cell phone snatched out of her hand on live national television, after picking up the phone while Ceedee was taking a call on another cell. Even his mother appeared to side eye him for how quickly he took the phone.
And because I know you want this tidbit of info, yes she used to date another Oklahoma athlete alum. Her ex is Atlanta Hawks guard Trae Young. I know some of you have a problem with this, but to quote the great Pimp C, “Top notch hoes get the most, not the lesser” or to quote me from my book, PostGame Pass: access into the life, “they love a referral.”
Oh, Trae Young weighed in on the video.
This was Crymson’s explanation as to why she was attempting to pick up his phone.

The WAR room flex was heavy and sometimes weird. Dallas Cowboy’s owner and GM Jerry Jones practically invented the word FLEX. He was live from his $250 million-dollar-yacht.
