Cleveland Browns wide receiver Josh Gordon is in legal hot water once again. Gordon was arrested in Raleigh, NC, on Saturday morning around 3 AM for driving 50 mph in a 35 mph zone and DWI.
This is another black eye for the receiver who led the NFL with 1,646 receiving yards last year- even though he only played in 14 games because he missed two for drug-related suspensions. Gordon could be facing a one-year ban for violating the league’s substance abuse policy – he’s appealing the ruling, this latest incident probably won’t help.
Browns general manager Ray Farmer released the following statement regarding the arrest:
D’Qwell Jackson, a former teammate of Gordon’s sent out this tweet following the arrest.
“If you’re close to Josh Gordon please help this kid. It’s not about football anymore it’s about picking up the pieces of his life,”
