It’s pretty obvious the Tim Tebow experiment with the New York Jets isn’t working out. The team is 3-6 and while Tebow hasn’t been a factor one way or the other this season but it seems as if his teammates don’t respect his game, period.
An anonymous Jets defensive starter has come out and said he thinks Tebow sucks!
“He’s terrible,” the anonymous player told the New York Daily News yesterday when asked if the Jets should make a change at quarterback to try and save their season.
Another source also referred to the Jets wide receivers as “garbage” and said that they were to blame for the Jets struggles this year.
“I’ve seen better receiving corps in college than we have on our team,” the source said.
We knew the receiver situation for the Jets was shaky, why they haven’t picked up one at this point is beyond me, but back to the Tebow issue. There’s at least one Jet whose willing to go on the record about his feelings re: the QB situation, Matt Slauson:
“It’s not even close. All the other quarterbacks know it. I have all the confidence in Mark. We don’t really have a choice.” When pressed about other quarterbacks on the depth chart, Tebow and Greg McElroy, Slauson was even more damning of Tebow’s quarterbacking potential: “We have Greg . . . and we have an athlete,” Slauson said.
