NFL Week 6 Picks

nfl-week-6-line-picks

It’s Week 6 in the NFL. How’s your fantasy team been doing so far this season? My predictions have been rocky all year, but we’re almost to the midway point of the season, so that should mean more consistency for teams.

Remember these are game predictions not meant to cover the spread for you gamblers.
REDSKINS VS. JETS

The J-E-T-S have one of the NFL’s best run defenses. Washington is down a few weapons, and a little on the gimpy side with two starting offensive linemen -left tackle Trent Williams and center Kory Lichtensteiger – dealing with nagging injuries and receiver DeSean Jackson still sidelined.

CARDINALS VS. STEELERS

Arizona has been the sleeper team this season, and currently leads the NFC West. Plus the likely added incentive of Bruce Arians wanting to beat the Steelers after they ran him out of Pittsburgh following the 2011 season.

CHIEFS VS. VIKINGS

The Chiefs have only had one offensive touchdown in their past two games.

BENGALS VS. BILLS

I usually role with Bills head coach Rex Ryan, but injuries and concerns about their line up against a team that has been stable all year, says the Bengals are the right pick.

BEARS VS. LIONS

Yikes… this is anyone’s game, but I give the advantage slightly to the Bears. Running back Matt Forte should be able to go off against the Lions D.

BRONCOS VS. BROWNS

TEXANS VS. JAGUARS

I’m not going to waste a lot of time here, cause its the JAGS… Do your stuff JJ Watt.

DOLPHINS VS. TITANS

PANTHERS VS. SEAHAWKS

Cam hasn’t played well in the four previous meetings against the Seahawks. Seattle hasn’t allowed a touchdown at home this season. Today I’m rocking with the 12th man.

CHARGERS VS. PACKERS

RAVENS VS. 49ERS

So neither the Ravens’ defense or the 49’ers have been stopping too many this season. It was just three seasons ago that the teams met in the Super Bowl, but you wouldn’t know it looking at them now. Niners QB Colin Kaepernick has really struggled away from former head coach Jim Harbaugh. Maybe seeing his brother on the opposing teams sideline will give him the juice.

SUNDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

PATRIOTS VS. COLTS

Word of advice to the Colts, just don’t get ran off of the field. Indianapolis has lost the last four consecutive games to the Patriots by an average of 29 points.

MONDAY NIGHT FOOTBALL

GIANTS VS. EAGLES

With these two teams, for some reason I rarely get it right. I’m giving the edge to the Eagles because their pass rush seems to have stepped it up over the last few weeks, if they can get into Giants QB Eli Manning’s head, that will get them over the hump.
