Lions DT Ndamukong Suh Ejected From Game Against Green Bay Packers [Video]

Football and Thanksgiving are an American tradition. As you inhale your turkey, check out the play from the Detroit Lions vs. the Green Bay Packers game that caused Lions DT Ndamukong Suh to be booted out of the game for unsportsman like conduct.

Green Bay won the game. Suh has been branded the NFL’s dirtiest player and this will be the second time this season he’ll be hit with a hefty fine. Thoughts on Suh? I’ve heard he’s the type of player you love playing with but, hate to go up against.

In his post game interview, Suh attempted to rationalize the play:

“What I did was remove myself from the situation the best way that I felt in me being held down in the situation that I was in,” Suh said, via NFL.com. “My intentions were not to kick anybody, as I did not. [I was] removing myself, as you see, I’m walking away from the situation. And with that I apologize to my teammates, and my fans and my coaches for putting myself to be in position to be misinterpreted and taken out of the game.”

It gets better. Or, for Suh, worse.

“I was on top of a guy being pulled down and trying to get up off the ground, which is why you see me pushing his helmet down,” Suh said. “As I’m getting up, I’m getting pushed so I’m getting myself unbalanced. . . . With that a lot of people are going to interpret it as or create their own storylines, . . . but I know what I did, and the man upstairs knows what I did.”

Put me down as being a HUGE Suh fan. And like you said Jill, he’s definitely the guy you want on your team versus on the other side of the field. With that said…

HE WAS WRONG AS RAIN!

The guy was holding him initially, so I’ll give him the first push down on the guys head. But he did it like two more times after that. He was off balance as he was walking away, but he clearly stomped downward at the end. He’s an all or nothing dude, tough hard nosed, only knows one speed. A very throwback style of defensive player. But if he doesn’t learn a way to contain it, he’s gonna hurt his team more than he helps. What if this was a playoff game, that was tied going into the 4th quarter? He HAS to do better.
