No NFL Scouts Show Up To Terrell Owens Private Workout [Video]

It could be the end for NFL WR Terrell Owens. The free agent is attempting to make his return to the NFL and held a private workout today in Los Angeles. Slight problem though, no NFL scouts showed up. Technically, that may not mean much as it was also shown live on the NFL network but it absolutely sends a message.

T.O. has always been diligent about keeping in shape. Last season with the Bengals, he had 72 receptions and 983 yards. The problem with T.O. is all about perception and what it seems he brings to the locker room. I think he probably could help a few teams but are they willing to take the risk? Sadly I don’t think they will.

After the workout, T.O. made the following quotes to ESPN and the NFL Network:

“I definitely feel there are some teams out there that are interested,” he told ESPN.

He wore a T-shirt with the words “I am” on the front and “ready” on the back at the beginning of the workout. He took the shirt off when he ran routes and caught passes from Casey Hansen, who played quarterback at Norfolk State and has played in the Arena Football League.

“I felt very comfortable out there,” Owens told ESPN after the workout.

Owens said he wasn’t deterred by the fact that no scouts were in attendance and said his workout “speaks for itself.”

“I only need one team,” Owens told the NFL Network. “I only need one chance.”

There’s always the T.O. show
