The Redskins have acquired the second overall pick in the draft from the St. Louis Rams. In return, the Rams will receive the Redskin’s sixth pick plus, two future first-round picks and additional selections, one of which is believed to be a second-rounder.
The Redskins are expected to take a QB with the selection in wither Robert Griffin III or Andrew Luck. That seems like a lot to give up considering the shape the Redskins are currently in. Perhaps they’re thinking Griffin (or Luck) will be able to entice a few lower tier free agents to get in on board.
The trade can’t be finalized until Tuesday at 4:00 PM but I doubt the Rams would find a better deal out there than this.
