Suddenly, being the head coach of the Los Angeles Clippers is looking quite sexy. Ex-Grizzlies head coach Lionel Hollins was said to be meeting with Clippers brass today (Thursday) but ESPN LA is reporting that Doc Rivers is interested in the job.
Right around the 2013 trade deadline, there were rumors that a deal was being worked to send KG to the Clippers for DeAndre Jordan and Eric Bledsoe. Then in May, ESPN personality Stephen A. Smith said he was hearing rumors of Doc Rivers and 2 of the original “Big 3” KG and “The Truth” Paul Pierce to the Clippers in exchange for Blake Griffin & Eric Bledsoe. Everyone thought it was crazy. The new scenario doesn’t involve Blake but it would be shocking if Eric Bledsoe wasn’t involved. Doc, KG and Paul Pierce all have ties to LA, Doc played for the Clippers, KG owns a home in Malibu and Paul Pierce being from Inglewood.
