Marcus and Markieff Morris Allegedly Assaulted Man Who Texted “Inappropriate” Messages To Their Mom

In January we learned Phoenix Suns big men, twins Marcus and Markieff Morris were being investigated for assault, but no details of the incident were released. Fast forward to now, and the situation is pretty interesting.

[Marcus and Markieff Morris] and three others committed felony aggravated assault against a man the 25-year-old twins learned had sent “inappropriate” text messages to their mother.

Police have made no arrests and no charges have been filed. A spokesman for the Maricopa County Attorney’s Office confirmed Tuesday afternoon that prosecutors are continuing to review the case submitted by police.

The man in question, Erik Hood, claims to have known the twins since they were young, providing mentoring and financial assistance. He denies sexting Thomasine Morris, and has identified the twins, plus one of their friends, Julius Kane, as three of the five people who attacked him.
