LeBron James to win 4th NBA “Most Valuable Player” award

For the fourth time in his career, LeBron James will be crowned the NBA’s Most Valuable Player according to a report from Michael Wallace of ESPN. LeBron will receive the award on Sunday, the day before the Heat are set to begin round two of the playoffs. This season has seen King James evolve his game to another level that hasn’t been seen in the NBA before.

LeBron led the Heat to a 66-16 season that included a 27-game winning streak and a season that saw people get more hyped for LeBron’s warm up dunks than anything that went down All-Star weekend. On the season, LeBron averaged 26.8 points, 8 rebounds, and 7.3 assists. Plus another career-best in shooting percentages with 56% from the field and 40% from three-point range.

The Heat’s second round playoff series will begin on Monday with an as yet to be determined opponent because the Chicago bulls and Brooklyn Nets are still battling it out.
