Carmelo Anthony says wife Lala has a right to be upset with Jordan Crawford

Celtics Jordan Crawford denied that he said anything about Knicks Carmelo Anthony’s wife following the end of game five between the two teams on Wednesday. But Melo’s recent statement about the incident – and the video where it’s pretty clear what he was saying – say otherwise.

“I would be upset too if I were her,” Anthony said on Friday. “She always gets thrown into the mix of the Boston Celtics series. So I would be upset. She’s her own person and at the end of the day so she has the right to say what she wants to say.”

So the question is, why did Crawford feel like he NEEDED to say THAT to Melo. Trash talk can span many topics, he could’ve just kept it to stuff that happens on the court. But he felt pretty confident stepping to Melo after sitting on the sidelines the entire match up. And where was KG as all this was going on? Assuming that’s the “friend” Crawford was referring to from past events… he was being interviewed. He said the Celtics are “scrappers”
