I am a proponent of trash talk. I think that true competitors get fired up, and when you’re in the zone, sometimes you want to talk about it. We all know Kobe Bryant is extremely outspoken. Bryant is currently on a limited practice schedule, but today, he had time.
Kobe was trashing talking his teammates, and Lakers GM Mitch Kupchak during a scrimmage on Thursday. Oh, this video contains NSFW language.
Kobe to Kupchak after practice: “I’m supposed to practice and get better. These motherf—- ain’t doing s— for me.”

Kobe during practice: “Is this the type of s— that’s going on in these practices? Now I see why we’ve lost 20 f—ing games.”
— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) December 11, 2014
Kobe during practice: “We’re soft like Charmin. We’re soft like s—.”
— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) December 11, 2014
Kobe during practice: “Kobe: “Practice gets real uncomfortable when I’m in this mother——.”
— Arash Markazi (@ArashMarkazi) December 11, 2014
Nick Young during practice: “Nobody in the world can guard me one-on-one.” Kobe: “You’re going exactly where I want you to go.”

Kobe rode Lin during practice; daring him to shoot. “I talked his a– right into that bull—-. I talked his a– right into that bull—-.”

Nick Young had to let some of his teammates know, in order to gain Kobe’s respect, you have to go at him too.
Nick Young pulled Jeremy Lin and Jordan Clarkson to the side after practice and told them to stand up for themselves after Kobe got on them.

Kobe: “I just challenge guys and see what happens. I’ve always believed in throwing them in the pool and seeing if they can sink or swim.”

Talk yo Sh*t then, Kobe!
Byron Scott is reportedly interested in Kobe playing more point too. Kobe has said its going to be difficult to change his scorer’s mentality to that of distributor. I think he can do it. I also think it will keep the season interesting for him. It could actually add an entirely new dynamic to what we consider Kobe’s “game.”
Lakers need something.
