Derrick Rose could miss entire 2012-2013 NBA season

Bulls fans, has the sun started fading on next season’s dreams already? Dr. Brian Cole – the surgeon who performed Bulls star Derrick Rose’s ACL surgery over the weekend- participated in a press conference Tuesday at Rush University Medical Center. The purpose, to update Bulls fans on DRose’s status of course.

While he may have alleviated fears with his follow up:

“Derrick is doing great,” Cole said Tuesday  “The surgery went extremely well. Really no surprises. It was pretty routine.”

“We’re at this point very optimistic.”

He probably sent shock waves throughout Bulls nation with his follow up commentary:

“We think of recovery as the long process that’s in stages. But the short answer is the time frame we believe an athlete of this caliber generally requires is about 8-12 months. Sometimes shorter, sometimes longer.”

Best guess, Rose returns early into next season and worst case scenario, he misses the entire season. Rose is only 23 and a gym rat keep your chin up Bulls fans.
