The Clash of the boroughs part two took place in Brooklyn Tuesday night. This time the results were in favor of the original New York team, the Knicks. And, in a bit of sweet irony, it was a former Net that dropped the mallet on Brooklyn.
Game two lived up to the hype of the first meeting between the Knicks and Nets. Jason Kidd hit a last second three-pointer and was fouled on the play to break the 97-97 tie with 24.1 seconds left in the fourth quarter.
If you recall the last time the two teams met, Jay Z sent notice that the city was under new management. Well injured Knicks point guard Iman Shumpert had his own message for Jay after the Knicks win:
Someone tell Fab…to tell Jay…to tell BK…they jus got #taped lol. This NY rivalry is healthy for the city!
