After having a farewell send off in Atlanta hosted by actress Megan Goode and missing a flight last Friday. Allen Iverson has finally arrived in Istanbul to begin his time with Team Besiktas. I say “time” because it looks like he’s being taken into custody here plus, let’s be real, AI taking his talents to Turkey is strictly about $$ not for the love of the game. And of course we know his ultimate goal is to end up back in the states. Did they make him wear that jersey straight off the plane?
I wonder if his boys came with? Do they have welcome to Istanbul parties in Turkey? A sneakers and stilettos affair?…NO, not often?? Hmmm someone better be ready for a culture shock.
