When I was kid growing up in LA, the Detroit Pistons ruined my threepeat dreams as a young Lakers fan, beating them in the NBA finals in 1989. The Pistons won the series in a four-game sweep, marking the first time a team had swept the first three rounds of the playoffs, only to be swept in the finals.

Friday night in Detroit, the “Bad Boys” were honored at The Palace during halftime of Pistons vs. Heat.

 

ESPN is debuting a 30-for-30 on the Bad Boys era of the Detroit Pistons on Tuesday, April 1st.
