Not even six months after his first fight in his Showtime agreement, Floyd Mayweather Jr. has announced his next boxing match will be September 14th against junior middleweight champion Saul “Canelo” Alvarez.
Money Mayweather made the announcement on Instagram,“I chose my opponent for September 14th and it’s Canelo Alvarez.”
Mayweather is moving up in weight class for this fight with his expected weight to be 152. Floyd’s guaranteed purse is expected to be $40 million. That’s how he’s able to drop $150K in the strip club without remorse. If you’re trying to attend, I suggested you start making your reservations now.
