Manny Pacquiao had surgery this week to repair a torn rotator cuff in his shoulder. That injury is the reason Manny claims he lost his fight against Floyd Mayweather Jr. Of course, Floyd has a response to that.
Late Tuesday night, Floyd took to Instagram to let Manny know that in 19 years, the only excuse that he’s had was, “no excuse.”
19 years in the fight game and I’ve had one excuse: “Don’t have an excuse”. Winners win and losers have excuses.
Manny will be available to take the ring again between 9 months to a year. Floyd told ESPN’s Stephen A. Smith that he would be willing to fight Manny again in a year, even though he said after the fight that his last fight will be in September to fulfill his contract with Showtime.
Saturday night after defeating Pac in the “fight of the century,” Floyd said he’ll relinquish his titles before his 49th bout. Mayweather said he’ll give up his WBC, WBA, WBO and Ring Magazine welterweight titles. Plus his WBC and WBA super welterweight belts this week.
