In a stunning upset Friday, Italy’s Roberta Vinci defeated Serena Williams 2-6, 6-4, 6-4 at the U.S. Open.

Vinci had 300-1 odds to win and had never won a set against Serena before this victory. Vinci even issued an apology after the win.

“For the American people, for Serena, for the Grand Slam and everything,” she said. “But today is my day. Sorry, guys.”

Roberta Vinci didn’t think she would win the semifinals.

Serena fans blamed her loss on the fact that Drake attended the match.

Serena came into her post-match conference letting reporters know that she wasn’t here for the games, saying she wouldn’t be answering questions on how disappointed she was in the loss.
