Hornets Draft Pick PJ Hariston Involved In Altercation During YMCA Pick Up Game

PJ-Hairston

Charlotte Hornets draft pick PJ Hariston hasn’t been an NBA player for a full two weeks and is already making the wrong type of headlines. Hariston is being accused of punching a high school basketball player during a pick up game at a YMCA in Durham Sunday evening.

Hairston’s agent, Juan Morrow, says the unidentified player was over-aggressively playing Hairston, leading to a shoving match. Morrow says the player “took a swing at P.J. and P.J. swung back.”

Hairston was the 26th pick in the draft by the Miami Heat. He was later traded to the Hornets.  Charlotte is aware of the incident and is looking into it.

Things get heated at times during pick up games. Seems as if there might just be more smoke than an actual fire. The timing of course is bad. Welcome to your new life PJ, people are going to test you daily.

Add to this that a car that is registered to Hairston happened to be the same vehicle that Browns wr Josh Gordon was driving when he was arrested this weekend for DWI, it’s probably time for PJ to find more lowkey friends and activities.
