Marshawn Lynch To Trademark “I’m Just Here So I Won’t Get Fined”

Marshawn-Lynch

Seattle Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch is good for trademarking a catchphrase. He trademarked “Beastmode” – remember he wouldn’t let the Dodgers use that for outfielder Matt Kemp, who also adopted the nickname-  Last season’s Super Bowl press conference hit, “I’m about that action Boss.” Now he’ll be adding, “I’m just here so I won’t get fined.”

Lynch made the statement hot during Super Bowl XLIX’s required press conference.

According to the Seattle Times, Lynch applied to trademark the famous phrase.

Chris Bevans, who runs Lynch’s “Beast Mode” campaign talked about the slogan and how the company is looking into the prospects of making this trademark a real thing.

“We heard from our fans and so many of them were saying that they wanted that phrase on the clothing,” Chris Bevans, who runs Lynch’s “Beast Mode” apparel line, told ESPN.com. “This is just listening to the marketplace.”

Let the media debates on whether this move is disrespectful begin.
