I’ve never quite understood the benefit of announcing that you’re planning on firing someone. Perhaps I believe in self protection but it seems that giving a warning would allow someone to damage your organization. But perhaps in the case of 49’ers head Coach Mike Singletary, there really isn’t anything left for him to mess up.
After days of a rumors, a terrible lost today in St. Louis and with one game left in the season, Mike Singletary has been relieved of his duties. Defensive Line coach Jim Tomsula will lead the team in it’s final game against the Cardinals.
49’ers owner, Jed York is also said to be searching for a new G.M. as well.
