NBA Free Agent Greg Oden Arrested For Battery In Indiana

Details are limited but former number one NBA draft pick, Greg Oden was arrested early Thursday morning for battery in Lawrence, Indiana. According to reports, the situation was a domestic incident where Oden allegedly punched his girlfriend in the face.

“He punched her in the face,” the witness said, according to the report.

The victim initially was “uncooperative,” police said. Police “observed blood, swelling to the nose, lacerations to the forehead and nose area of the victim’s face,” according to the report. They also “observed blood on the sofa and floor in the sitting area. (They) observed (blood) on the living room carpet (and) dirt from a flower pot that was knocked over.

The two have reportedly been dating for two years but broke up a few months ago.

Oden spent last season with the Miami Heat and is a current NBA free agent. He recently worked out for the LA Clippers.
