Miami Heat to open Hyde nightclub in AmericanAirlines Arena

Hollywood really is coming to South Beach… actually downtown Miami but that’s a minor detail. SBE (responsible for some of the hottest clubs, restaurants and hotels in LA- Katsuya, SLS hotel and Greystone to list a few)  is collaborating with the Miami Heat to bring Hyde nightclub to the American Airlines Arena.

The 5,000-square-foot (465-square-meter) club will have its own entrance and accommodate 200 people, Nazarian said. Admission would be free for game- and concert-goers, and patrons without event tickets would be charged a fee, he said. The venue may be rented for special occasions when the arena is dark.

Staples Center in LA also has a Hyde nightclub that was created from converted Luxury suites. SBE has a plan to bring as many as 15 sports venues by 2016, he said. SBE is in talks with New York’s Madison Square Garden, Cowboys Stadium in Dallas and Angel Stadium in Anaheim, California, among other sports facilities.

In Miami, the Dolphins have Liv and the Marlins have a Clevander. It makes sense to add the Heat to the mix.

The merger between entertainment and sports becomes greater every year. Increasingly sports patrons want more for their in-game experience, especially with the younger generation of fans.
