My Saturday mornings back in the 80’s consisted of waking up to watch cartoons and then at 11 or 11:30 Soul Train and American Bandstand came on (yes, I watched both depending on who the artist was that was performing) I remember this Michael Jordan commercial airing during Soul Train but had completely forgotten about it until our friends over at Black Sports Online unearthed it.
COMEDY!!! But if you think about it, that was smart. Using a famous athlete for a women’s haircare line. Someone saw into the future and knew potential “Basketball Wives” were a great target.
