Knicks star JR Smith (real name Earl Joseph Smith) was arrested in Miami Thursday night on an outstanding warrant for not having a valid license. There’s no information as to what lead to the “routine search” but the 26-year old was booked into the Miami-Dade County jail, where officials say he bonded out early Friday.
Last year (2011) during Memorial Day weekend, JR was also stopped on a scooter in Miami and arrested. I wonder if this bench warrant stems from that. The holiday weekend in Miami gets pretty wild. Stay low profile for the rest of the weekend JR, you don’t seem to have good luck with Miami and Memorial day.
