Jay-Z’s Roc-a-wear clothing line partnering with the New York Yankees

The New York Yankees are teaming up with rapper Jay Z and his clothing line Rocawear (who knew that was still around) to create a clothing line for the iconic New York baseball team.

With Jay-Z being a long time Yankees fan, this deal was just natural, said Jameel Spencer, EVP of Marketing for Rocawear men’s division. “Jay-Z has been a long-time fan of the Yankees, regularly attends games and has even included his favorite team in song lyrics, so this was a natural partnership,”

Jay Z continues to expand his brand. He’s also very involved with changes to the Nets uniforms for their move to Brooklyn plus has a hand in their new marketing creative.

The continued fusion of sports, music and fashion, whoever thought hip-hop would make it this far.
