Evelyn Lozada has issued a statement to Entertainment Tonight regarding the incident that took place between she and her husband, Chad Johnson.
The 911 call from that evening has also been released. It was actually Chad and Evelyn’s neighbor who made the call. The neighbor indicated it was a “high profile situation”, it might be a “misunderstanding” and if possible to avoid the sirens. He also said that Lozada would need medical assistance, “probably stitches” but indicated that she was not bleeding.
Lastly, details of Chad’s 2000 arrest for domestic violence have been released. The alleged assault took place in L.A. which resulted in Chad pleading “no contest.” The details include Chad accusing his girlfriend at the time of cheating on him and then “slapping her accross the face.” Chad was charged with domestic battery.
Does the fact that Chad hasn’t had an incident during his professional career matter? Do Evelyn’s antics on Basketball Wives (throwing drinks, wine bottles, jumping on tables to go after other women) color your opinion of the incident?
**UPDATE**
Evelyn Lozada has filed for divorce from Chad Johnson in Miami
