Boston Celtics forward Amir Johnson is having baby’s mama drama. Johnson is being sued for an upgrade in child support by the mother of his two-year-old daughter Amelia.
25-year-old college student Alana Jung believes that she needs more money per month for child support. She’s asking for an increase to $50,000 per month. She currently receives $8,622 per month.
Her reasons for the increase request? Jung believes she’s actually entitled to $84,000 per month per her lawyer’s filing. She also believes that due to the frequency that athletes go broke, she wants to ensure that her daughter is living the same lifestyle as her father, but that the money is managed properly for her future. Johnson just signed a two-year contract with the Celtics for $24 million.
Jung claimed in court documents that she and Amir lived together for 18 months, while Johnson played for the Toronto Raptors. Johnson reportedly described the situation as “a ‘casual sexual relationship’ and that they were ‘not in a committed relationship at any time.'”
Ouch. The timing of this comes as Amir has a new girlfriend, Daria Mitchell. Daria and Amir met in 2014 through his former teammate Lou Williams. Williams was dating Daria’s twin sister Rece.
Johnson has offered to up her monthly amount to $15,000 per month.
In my new book PostGame Pass, there is a whole chapter dedicated to baby’s mamas entitled “Baby’s mama Golden Parachute.” The book is available now on Amazon and Barnes and Noble.
