Basketball Wives LA Producers Claim Kimsha Artest Just Stopped Showing Up For Filming

If you’ve been wondering what happened to Kimsha Artest on Basketball Wives LA, you aren’t alone. Rumors were swirling that she was pulled off the show with no real explanation as to what happened. Producers of the show released a statement regarding her status and if we can expect to see her in further episodes:

“When Kimsha Artest signed on to be in ‘Basketball Wives: LA,’ we were very excited to have her onboard. That is why we were confused and disheartened when after a limited number of days shooting she stopped showing up for filming. This is the sole and only reason Kimsha has not appeared on more episodes of the series. Her minimal coverage on the show was entirely her decision and not that of Shed Media, VH1 or Executive Producer Shaunie O’Neal.’Basketball Wives: LA’ continues to be a ratings success for VH1 every Monday night.”

If this is true, it makes sense. She didn’t look comfortable with the other women and probably decided the show wasn’t really her thing. It takes a lot to go on national TV every week and allow strangers to pick apart your life based on a few stolen moments. That’s what the “wives” signed on for. But is it that hard to send an e-mail or make a quick phone call to say I quit?

Isn’t that a breach of contract?
