Wilson Chandler and the Denver Nuggets reach agreement on a 5-year extension

The Denver Nuggets have reached a 5-year deal worth $37 million with their restricted free agent Wilson Chandler. Chandler was one of the pieces received from the Knicks last season in the Carmelo Anthony trade. He’s also one of the players who signed an agreement in China during the lockout which is why this deal is just happening.

During his stint in with the  Zhejiang Guangsha Lions of the Chinese Basketball Association,  Chandler averaged 26.6 points and 11.6 rebounds in 32 games. Last season with the Nuggets, he averaged 12.5 ppg. The Nuggets waived Ronny Turiaf (acquired in the trade with the Wizards that shipped out Nene and brought over JaVale McGee.
