USA-WIns-FIBA-Gold

USA Basketball defeated SERBIA 129-92 in the FIBA World Cup to secure the Gold medal.

While the bigger names of the younger NBA generation sat this one out. No Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook, Blake Griffin, etc. USA Basketball, led by James Harden and breakout performances by Nuggets forward Kenneth Faried and Warriors Klay Thompson, put everyone on notice that they’re ready for the spotlight.

Cavs’ Kyrie Irving, Bulls’Pau Gasol, Nuggets’ Kenneth Faried, and Blazers’ Nicolas Banton made the All-Spain 2014 team.

 

France won the Bronze medal on Saturday.
