Let the debates begin, is Tracy McGrady Hall of Fame material? After 16 seasons in the NBA, TMac announced his retirement from the NBA Monday morning on ESPN’s “First Take.” Tracy didn’t say he was completely done with basketball though, he said the door is still open for China.
The 7 time NBA All-Star and 2 time NBA leading scorer’s career averages were 19.6 points, 5.6 rebounds, 4.4 assists and 1.2 steals per game. TMac was drafted by the Toronto Raptors and also spent time with the Orlando Magic, Houston Rockets and most recently joined the Spurs for their playoff run and NBA finals appearance.
Kobe Bryant recently stated that TMac was his toughest NBA opponent.
Thank all of you who have supported me over 16 NBA seasons, 7 All-Stars, and countless exciting moments. Retiring from NBA. Stay tuned. #mac
