Raptors Amir Johnson ejected after throwing his mouthpiece at ref David Jones [video]

Some sort of suspension is all but assured for Toronto Raptors forward Amir Johnson. In the third quarter of the Raptors game against the Blazers, Johnson and referee David Jones get into a scuffle over the ball following a freethrow and for some reason, Amir wouldn’t give the ball to the ref.  Things got so heated Amir threw his mouthpiece at him. Even Amir’s teammate – and former high school teammate too – DeMar DeRozan looks confused.

Following the game Amir apologized for his actions.

“I think [it was childish] between both of us,” Johnson said. “We were both wrestling with the ball. That was kind of childish. We both either could of let it go or anything. That part was childish. Plus, on my part for reacting that way….

“I think it was just real childish,” Johnson said. “It was something that didn’t need to happen. I lost my cool. I apologize on that part. I’ve never been kicked out of a game before or been teed up like that.”

Now the only question that remains is how many games he’ll be suspended for and will he chill in TDot or take a mini vacay.
