The NBA draft takes place later this evening but the Association has a lot going on with trades. The Houston Rockets are trying to open up cap space to make a run at LeBron James and Carmelo Anthony. They’ve traded away Omer Astik – whose been asking for a trade since the team acquired Dwight Howard last summer. Asik was traded to the New Orleans Pelicans for a future first-round draft pick. Astik joins Anthony Davis in the front court.

The New York Knicks have traded center Tyson Chandler and point guard Raymond Felton to the Dallas Mavericks. Chandler won a ring with the Mavs in 2011 an then signed a $60-million deal with Knicks in free agency that summer. Do you think he changes how he dresses now that he’s going back to Dallas?
Felton gets a fresh start after a dismal season highlighted by gun charges and a divorce. The Knicks will receive Sam Dalembert plus guards Jose Calderon, Shane Larkin and Wayne Ellington and the Mavericks’ two second-round picks in Thursday’s NBA draft – the 34th and 51st overall selections, sources said.
